SECTION V – HEALTH HAZARD DATA

It is recommended that during crushing, grinding, or mechanical distribution appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) be utilized commensurate with any exposure hazard (eye protection, gloves, long sleeves and pants, respirator). The utilization of side shield safety glasses, MIOSH approved respirator, etc., may be necessary. Inhalation of dust generated could irritate nasal and throat tissues, eyes and skin.

EMERGENCY FIRST AID PROCEDURES

Inhalation, Eyes, Skin – Remove to fresh air. Irrigate with fresh water for at least 15 minutes. If irritation or other symptoms persist, consult a physician. Ingestion – Do not ingest.

SECTION VII – SPECIAL PRECAUTION PROCEDURES

PRECAUTIONS AND SAFE HANDLING: Side shield safety glasses and gloves should be worn when handling the product.
STEPS TO BE TAKEN IF SPILLED OR RELEASED: See above.
WASTE DISPOSAL METHOD: Landfill in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations. This product, under RCRA, is not considered to be hazardous.

SECTION VIII – SPECIAL PROTECTION INFORMATION

RESPIRATORY PROTECTION

Not required for normal handling and use of product. However, the warning of NIOSH approved breathing protection may be necessary for exposure to dust. Respirators are required if air contaminants exceed OSHA PE.

VENTILATION

Local Exhaust: Necessary to remove dust.
Mechanical: Ventilate to assure dust levels are below OSHA PEL for nuisance dust.

EYE PROTECTION

Wear appropriate eye protection, side shields safety goggles if exposure to gypsum dust is possible.

CALIFORNIA PROPOSITION 65 – Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act: Title 22 California Code of Regulation
California Proposition 65 provides for labeling and disclosure of the presence of a chemical(s) known to the State of California to cause cancer or reproductive toxicity.

SARA Section 313 Form R: Chemicals contained within or emitted from this product, in the company’s opinion, do not exceed levels set by the Agency which would trigger reporting under this section.

ODS: During the manufacture of this product there is no intended use of listed ozone depleting chemicals as defined in applicable EPA regulations.
